One dress, one chance

More than a garment, a bridal gown is an artifact of personal history. From fragile lace to structured boning, its delicate construction cannot withstand standard processing. Every piece is treated as a bespoke restoration masterpiece.

Why gowns are different

Champagne and makeup stains stay invisible for weeks, then surface as yellow blooms. Every one of these failure modes is avoidable with prompt and thorough cleaning.

Timing matters more than most brides realise: the sooner a gown comes in after the day, the better the outcome, because invisible stains set quietly. Gowns are returned in a cover sealed top and bottom, ready to hang.

Traditional bridalwear is just as welcome. Beaded and embroidered wedding saris, the Chinese wedding kua (褂裙) with its fine gold and silver threadwork, and the cheongsam all demand the same careful, piece-by-piece handling.

How pricing works

Gown cleaning starts from $190 and rises with construction complexity and soiling — a simple silk slip is a different project from a heavily beaded ballgown with a hemline that swept a lawn. The final price is confirmed after inspection, never after the fact. Wedding dresses (unstructured) are $90; tuxedos and ethnic suits from $40.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Why does gown cleaning cost more than a normal dress?

Construction — boning, beading, layers, and trains each demand separate handling and hand-finishing, and mistakes can't be undone. The price reflects hours of careful work.

How soon after the wedding should the gown be cleaned?

Within weeks, ideally. Champagne, perspiration, and makeup stains are often invisible at first but oxidise into yellow marks over months.

Do you offer boxed preservation?

We return gowns in a hanging cover sealed at both ends. We don't currently offer boxed preservation.

Can old yellowed gowns be restored?

Sometimes — yellowing can often be improved, though decades-old discolouration may not fully reverse. We'll tell you honestly what's achievable.
