Leather care · Singapore
Leather lives differently here
Humidity finds leather fast in Singapore — mould, stiffness, and fading arrive quietly. We clean and condition jackets, handbags, wallets, and suede, each piece treated for what its hide actually needs.
Garments and accessories, one roof
Most leather specialists here won't touch garments; most garment cleaners won't touch leather. We handle both — jackets, vests, handbags, wallets, gloves, and sheepskin — which matters when a single wardrobe holds all of them.
Mould treatment is the most common request in this climate, followed by oil transfer, colour dullness, and stiffness from poor storage. Aggressive cleaning strips the finish along with the dirt; the skill is in removing one without the other.
One thing worth knowing upfront: leather is the least predictable material we handle. Tanning method, previous treatments, storage, and years of wear all shape what a hide can tolerate — two jackets that look identical can respond very differently to the same treatment. Assessment comes first, always, and our read on your piece is specific to your piece.

Common questions
Frequently asked
Can mould be removed from leather?
Often — but leather varies more than any material we handle. Deep-set mould may leave permanent shadowing; we assess each piece and tell you what's realistic before starting.
Do you clean branded handbags?
Yes — we've cared for pieces from recognised houses and independent designers alike. Hardware, lining, and trim are all considered before treatment.
How should I store leather in Singapore?
Away from sealed plastic, with airflow, out of direct sun, ideally with silica gel nearby. Sealed wardrobes in humid rooms cause most of the mould we see.
How long does leather cleaning take?
Generally two weeks and upwards — it varies with what needs to be done and the complexity of the piece. We'll give you a timeline at drop-off.
